DRIVING
Charlotte/Douglas International Airport, a hub for US Airways, is six miles east of downtown Charlotte.

- Passenger pick-up: A cell phone waiting lot is located on Rental Car Road.
PARKING
Cheapest: The remote and long-term parking lots cost $3 per day.
Most convenient: The daily lot and deck cost $6 a day. Both are within walking distance of the terminal, though shuttle service is provided. Hourly parking in front of the terminal is free for the first 30 minutes and $1 for each additional half-hour.
Curbside Valet: $4 for the first 30 minutes and $19 a day. Drop off and pick up is at the east end of the departures/ticketing level.
Business Valet: This off-airport parking service costs $10 a day. Drop off is at near Center City at Wilkinson Boulevard and Harlee Avenue. From there, a free shuttle takes travelers to the airport. When you return, call 704-394-6224; then take the shuttle at the east end of the departures/ticketing level back to the city to pick up your car.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION
Bus: Charlotte Area Transit System buses pick up passengers on the east end of the upper level of the terminal. Buses run hourly at approximately 54 minutes past the hour. Fares are $1.30 each way.
Cab: A trip from the airport to downtown Charlotte is around $21. Catch taxis and shuttles outside baggage claim in the terminal's lower level.

Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty are located in the passenger terminal on the baggage claim level.

Wi-Fi: Free wireless Internet service is available throughout the airport.
Banking and ATMs: First Citizens Bank has a full-service branch, as well as a currency exchange, in the ticketing lobby of the main terminal. Also, ATMs are located in concourses A and E, on the D/E connector and the east and west baggage claim areas.
Postal services: There's a U.S. Postal Service mailbox and stamp machine in Concourse D near the restrooms. Drop boxes for the Postal Service, Airborne Express, UPS and FedEx are available curbside.
