Check-in kiosks

Self-service check-in kiosks are available at China CKS International Airport and Kaohsiung International Airport. Passengers can use passports, credit cards or tickets to retrieve reservation information, select seats and secure boarding passes for themselves and their passengers.

Check-in alternatives

Online check-in, or eCheck-in, is available for all international flights from 24 hours to 3 hours in advance of the scheduled departure time.

Frequent-flier program

Anyone two years or older is eligible for the Dynasty Flyer Program. All members earn mileage on China Airlines, Mandarin Airlines and Delta Air Lnes flights.

Benefits vary on membership type. Gold members can receive priority reservations, receive priority seating, access exclusive check-in counters, carry extra baggage and access the China Airlines airport lounge on outgoing China Airlines flights.

Airport club or lounge

First Class, Dynasty Class and Dynasty Flyer members (Emerald, Gold and Paragon levels) can use China Airlines' Dynasty Lounges at the following airports: Chiang Kai Shek, Kaoshiung, Sung San Airport, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Fukuoka, Okinawa Airport, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Honolulu Airport.

The lounges offer the following features: ticketing and traffic service, luggage storage room, public phones, business center, full-service bar, self-service buffet counter, televisions, shower rooms, massages and other benefits.

Carry-on policy

Each passenger may bring only one piece of the carry-on baggage on board, plus a purse, coat or laptop computer. First and business-class passengers are allowed an additional item.

Dimensions must not exceed a total of 45 inches (115 cm), and the weight limit is . 15 pounds (7 kg) per piece.

In-flight meal options

China Airlines offers a variety of special-meal options, including vegetarian, diabetic, Muslim, kosher, high-fiber, Hindu, seafood, low-calorie, low-cholesterol and low-sodium.

Unaccompanied children

Reservations for unaccompanied children from 3 months to under 5 must be made at least five days in advance. Reservations for unaccompanied children over five and under 12 must be made at least 72 hours in advance.

Pets

Pets must be in crates and must travel as checked baggage in the cargo hold.

Cool or useful amenities

First and business-class passengers get personal TVs on 747s and MD-11s. All passengers have personal TVs on the Airbus A343.

All intercontinental and some Southeast Asia flights offer in-flight yoga instruction.
