Check-in pointers

EVA encourages passengers to check in one hour before scheduled departure time. Passengers who need additional assistance (e.g. unaccompanied minors or disabled passengers) should check in about 90 minutes before departure.

Frequent-flier program

Evergreen Club members can earn free flights by flying on EVA Air as well as partners Continental Airlines and UNI AIR Taiwan.

Evergreen Club benefits are not interchangeable with the frequent-flier benefits of any EVA Air travel partner. Once mileage is credited to one account or program, it cannot be withdrawn and added to any other account, nor can mileage in one program be used for benefits from a different program. Mileage records before December 31, 2002, can be retained for three years; after that date, they can be retained for five years.

Airport club or lounge

EVA Air has lounges throughout Asia and at Newark International Airport.

Passengers in Super First, Super Business and Business classes -- as well as Diamond-, Gold- and Silver-level Evergreen Club members -- can access Evergreen/VIP lounges.

Benefits at the club include a business center, conference room, rest room, nursery, public telephone, drinks, desserts, reading material, television and more.

Carry-on policy

Each passenger is allowed one carry-on bag, which must fit underneath the seat in front or in the overhead compartment. The bag's total dimensions must not exceed 45 inches (115 cm), and its weight must not exceed 15 pounds (7 kg).

In-flight meal options

Special meals are available for a variety of dietary, medical and religious reasons. Requests should be made at least 24 hours before departure.

Unaccompanied children

Children younger than 5 cannot travel alone. EVA provides an escort service for unaccompanied children ages 5 to 12. When making reservations, parents or guardians need to fill out a form that includes contacts at both departure and arrival pick-up points.

Pets

Cats, dogs and birds weighing under 11 pounds (5 kg) can be carried in the cabin as unchecked baggage, or as checked baggage in a temperature-controlled compartment. A maximum of two pets are allowed in the cabin.

Cool or useful amenities

Eva Air's new Airbus A330-200 aircraft are equipped with an audio/video-on-demand system which allows passengers to choose from approximately 10 movies, 12 TV shorts, more than 500 musical selections and five video games. The system also allows users to fast-forward, rewind and pause their selections.
