Frequent-flier program

Finnair Plus members can earn points toward free flights with Finnair, oneworld alliance partners, and several other airlines, including Swiss and SN Brussels. Points are valid for five years from the date of transaction. Award reservations must be made at least seven days -- and no more than a year -- before the date of use.

Lounges

Finnair passengers have access to hundreds of lounges internationally through oneworld and other partnerships, depending on their Finnair Plus membership status or class of service.

Carry-on policy

Economy-class travelers are allowed one carry-on item up to 17.5 pounds (8 kg) and 46 linear inches (115 cm). Business-class passengers are allowed one item plus a briefcase or laptop, with a total weight of up to 22 pounds (10 kg).

In-flight meal options

Finnair serves a variety of special-diet meals, including vegetarian, gluten-free, low-fat, Hindu and kosher. Orders must be placed no later than 24 hours before departure.

Unaccompanied children

Children ages 5 through 11 can travel as unaccompanied minors who must be dropped off and met by parents or guardians.

Pets

Dogs and cats up to 17 pounds can travel with a passenger in the cabin. Fees vary by destination.

Cool or useful amenities

Power for laptop computers is available at every MD-11 Business Class seat. Gameboy games are available for children on MD-11 aircraft.
