Passenger pick up: Drivers can wait for arriving passengers for up to one hour in the free cell phone lot at the corner of Airline Drive and Hollandey Street. The lot is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

PARKING

Cheapest: Long-term parking is $10 daily.

Most convenient: Short-term parking is $15 a day, and $2 for the first hour.

Valet parking is $17 for 24 hours. Follow the purple signs to entrance #7 on the top ramp. Call (504) 464-0204 for more information.  

Security: All vehicles entering the parking garage are subject to search due to increased security.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

Bus: Jefferson Transit offers public bus service outside Entrance No. 7 on the upper level for $1.10. Call (504) 818-1077 for more information. Buses run every 15 to 20 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekends.

Shuttle/Limo: A trip downtown on the Airport Shuttle costs $13 one way and $26 round trip. Call 1-866-596-2699 or (504) 522-3500. Walk up service is available for limousine and sedan service to the Central Business District and French Quarter. The rate is $35 for one or two people and $10 per additional passenger for up to 8 passengers.

Cab: A cab ride to the central business district costs about $28 for one person and $12 per passenger for three or more people. Find cabs on the lower level outside baggage claim.

Disabled travelers: There are 11 telephone display devices (TDD) in the airport:  The main TDD number is (504) 463-1057.

ATM locations: East Lobby, near Concourse B; ticket Lobby next to Whitney National Bank; West Terminal; lower level near Southwest Airlines baggage claim; lower level near charter baggage claim

Business Centers: TravelEx America is open daily from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is located in the Ticket Lobby near the U.S. Post Office. It offers travel insurance, foreign money exchange, photocopies, fax services, emergency cash, and wire money transfers.

Post office: Located in the ticket lobby. There is also a mail drop in the east lobby near the women’s restroom.

Lost and found: Located on the upper level in the West Lobby near Concourse C. The office is open 24 hours a day. Call (504) 464-2671 or (504) 464-2672. Items left at security can be picked up at TSA lost and found (504) 465-5050.

Baggage storage is available on the lower level between Baggage Claims 5 and 6.

Internet: Pay phones have data jacks for laptop connections. The connections only work with toll-free numbers. Internet kiosks are in each concourse; the cost is $0.25 per minute, with $1 minimum. 

Wireless hot spots are located in the Delta Crown Room (Concourse D) and at AirTran Gate C9 (Concourse C).

Visitor information: Visitor Information Services are located in the West Lobby (504) 464-2752, in the West Terminal (504) 463-1020, in the East Baggage Claim (504) 465-8852. Each info counter is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
