Passengers can check in at any TACA Center in Central America, except in Honduras, and get their boarding pass 24 hours prior departure. If the passenger is returning the same day as the departure, he/she can check-in for both segments.

Members of the DISTANCIA program can earn miles on flights on TACA and its partners: American Airlines, TACA Regional, TAM, and Avianca.

Airport lounges:

TACA offers Salones VIP at selected airports.

These rooms offer reservations services, ground transportation services, free local calls, newspapers, magazines, open bar, and courtesy snacks.

Meal options:

Food is available for purchase on flights longer than 2 hours. Unaccompanied children have their meal already included in the unaccompanied child fee. Special meals are no longer offered on economy or business class on any flight.


Unaccompanied children between 5-12 years of age can travel unaccompanied for a fee. $30 for domestic flights and $60 for international flights. Children 13-17 can request this service with the applicable charges. Children must be accompanied to the airport by an adult and all necessary documentation regarding the child must be presented before boarding, including the name of the adult meeting the child at the destination.

Pet policy:

Up to two pets can fly in the cabin (including service animals), provided they are in a portable kennel, and for an extra fee (fee waived for service animals). Some animals can be carried as cargo. More information here.
