Take this diverse tour and see vineyards, mountains, and ancient logging camps then sample giant cinnamon rolls, Tillamook Cheese and of course the ice-cream!

Leaving Downtown Portland, travel through the rolling farmlands and over the gentle coast range. The first stop will be at Camp 18 for a short break and a peek into the past. Here you can investigate old-time logging equipment, a restaurant and a gift shop all housed in one of the largest log cabins.

Get out your camera for the next stop at Klootchy Creek Park, to see “the tallest Sitka Spruce in the US.”

You will then travel to Cannon Beach where you’ll catch glimpses of the magnificent Pacific Ocean, smell the salt air and hear the waves pounding against the rocky coastline.

You will have time to explore the shops, galleries, and the many restaurants. A must-see and a wonderful photo opportunity is Haystack Rock, towing 235 feet above the water, it is the most photographed monolith on the Oregon coast. You’ll stop in the Tillamook area, which gets an annual rainfall of over 90 inches and sustains Oregon’s most productive dairy center. At the Tillamook cheese factory, observe the cheese-making process and sample the finished produce, including the ice-cream.

On the return trip to Downtown Portland you will follow the Wilson River Highway returning around 6:00 PM at Pioneer Courthouse Square.
