Your journey departs from Managua, heading 1.5 hours to the northwest to the town of Malpaisillos from which we’ll have access to the active volcano. Climbing to the top of the volcano is an unequaled experience reserved for those in good physical condition.

On a clear day, you’ll also have stunning views of the impressive Marribios volcanic chain.

After accomplishing the long hike to the top, the excursion continues with a visit to the park and Cathedral of Leon’s city, the most important religious centre in Nicaragua. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
