Depart from Panama at 6:00 a.m. for a 1:30 hour ride to the Atlantic coast. The area of the Bay of Portobelo offers 35 miles of coastal areas and its water is home of a great diversity of coral reefs (over 50 species) and many other organisms related to corals.

The underwater photographer will definitely find the perfect scene for marine life pictures.

There are more than 40 different life zones in the area, include sea grass meadows, mangroves, reef-flats, and reef slopes over 100 feet deep.

After finishing our diving adventure visit the town and ruins of the Forts and Castles of Portobelo (Please, see our description of The Historic Fort of Portobelo for further information).
