Heading to the north, we’ll ascend the slope of the Chachani Volcano, cross the Vicuñas National Reserve, and pass through the small towns of Vizcachani and Sumbay. We’ll continue our ascent by bus all the way up to 4,800 m.a.l.s from where we’ll have a spectacular view of the White Mountain Range (Cordillera Blanca).

We’ll continue on to the Condor Cross ("la Cruz del Cóndor") viewpoint from where you’ll have a chance to see the largest flying bird in North America, the "Cóndor." The view of the river Colca from a height of 3,600 (11,811 feet) meters is amazing. Heading back down, we’ll visit the town of Yanque and its colonial church. We’ll have an included box lunch in Chivay before returning to Arequipa.
