Frequent-flier program
Flying Blue is the new frequent-flier plan for the Air France-KLM partnership. Every time members on Air France, KLM or another SkyTeam airline (Delta, Northwest, Aeromexico, Alitalia, CSA Czech Airlines or Korean Air), they earn miles that can be used toward free airline tickets, airline upgrades, hotel rooms or car rentals.
Miles are valid for three years, as long as members fly on Air France or another SkyTeam member airline within that period.
Airport Club or Lounge
Air France passengers traveling in First or Business classes, or holding Flying Blue Gold or Platinum, SkyTeam Elite Plus, or Club 2000 frequent flier cards, have access to Air France lounges worldwide.
Carry-on policy
Passengers are allowed only one carry-on bag.
Its length, width and height can't exceed 45 inches (115 cm), and it can't weigh more than 26 pounds (11.7 kg).
Passengers traveling with pets in the cabin in Tempo economy class are not allowed carry-on baggage.
In-flight meal options
Meal options include Asian, baby food, bland, child, diabetic, gluten-free, Hindu, kosher, low sodium, Muslim, seafood, vegetarian non-dairy and vegetarian lacto-ovo.
Unaccompanied children
Children ages 5 to 12 (or 4 inside continental France and to French overseas territories) can travel alone on Air France international flights. The airline provides an escort service and constant supervision from check-in to arrival. For those under age 5, a paid escort service is required.
Pets
Animals under 11 pounds (5 kg) are allowed to travel in cabin in kennels with total dimensions not exceeding 45 inches (115 cm). Those over 11 pounds must travel in the pressurized, heated cargo hold.
Cool or useful amenities
Air France offers complimentary champagne in all classes, and on a self-service buffet on flights of more than 10 hours for first class and business class customers.
The Planete Bleue service offers passengers under 18 free gifts such as crayons, games or coloring books, along with tailored music stations, cartoons and special food trays.
