    This Rain Forest Aerial Tram from San Jose travels between the Grove Forest, and the canopy and its gardens, allowing you to discover plants and animals that usually are hidden in the highs of the forest. Found only 50 minutes from San José on the highway to Limon, the Rain Forest Aerial Tram offers one of the most impressive and unique parks of ecotourism and investigation in the world. Visitors literally travel 90 minutes between the grove forest, the canopy and its gardens discovering plants and animals that are usually hidden. This little-known world has incredible beauty and extraordinary biological diversity.

    The “Gondola” (Aerial Tram) Tour is a modified “Ski Lift” that covers a distance of 2.6 kilometers through the Costa Rica rainforest. The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes. Visitors will see the different levels of a rainforest, specifically the most difficult level to reach until recently and the least scientifically known part of the forest the canopy (the tree tops). This course is very secure and very quiet allowing visitors to listen to the many different sounds of the rainforest.

    A cascading 40-foot waterfall, giant rainforest trees and panoramic views of the ocean are all part of the ride at the Pacific Rain Forest Aerial Tram. The ride on the Pacific Tram takes about an hour to travel a half-mile into the heart of a transitional rain forest. The 210-acre private reserve is a transitional area between the drier climate of the northwest and the more humid climate of the southern coast.

    This complete tour gives you the opportunity to enjoy some highlights of Costa Rica in just one day. The first stop is the Poás Volcano, which has one of the most famous craters in the world. We will stop at La Paz Waterfalls Gardens where you will be able to enjoy breakfast, visit the butterfly observatory and the hiking trails.

    Once we arrive in Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí we will board the boat to discover the richness of Costa Rica’s nature along the river.     The tour begins with a visit to La Sabana Metropolitan Park, the heart of the capital city, then heads to the residential area of Rohmoser and continues on to Sabana Sur. Here, a delicious typical lunch will be served. The tour continues along the Paseo Colón on the way to the National Theatre.

    After a guided visit to this architectural masterpiece, we will take a short walk over the Plaza de la Cultura to visit the Gold Museum. We’ll continue through the Central Avenue Boulevard to the Plaza de la Democracia to visit the National Museum. The walk will continue on the Boulevard Circuito Judicial and on to the Supreme Court of Justice. Here we will board the bus to continue our city sightseeing, taking a close look at the Casa Amarilla, The National Park, The National Library, The Electoral Supreme Court, and the old neighbourhoods of San Jose (Amón – Otoya & Toumón).

    Before we head back to the hotel, we will stop to have a cup of coffee at the tourist center, “El Pueblo”, where you will find over 60 different bars and restaurants, and 4 different discos that focus on the nightlife of San José. You will have the opportunity to stay at El Pueblo or return to the hotel. If you decide to stay at El Pueblo, you will receive special discounts at the galleries, bars and restaurants, and the tour bus will return to pick you up two hours later.

    Our naturalist guide will pick you up at your hotel early in the morning to start your journey of 1 1/2 hours to Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí passing through one of the most exuberant National parks in Costa Rica, The Braulio Carrillo National Park. You will be able to enjoy the scenic views as we travel.

    Once in Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí, you will board a boat to discover the richness of Costa Rica nature along the Sarapiqui River. The boat ride will last approximately two hours, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy the magnificent rain forest and it habitants, such as toucans, monkeys, sloths, crocodiles and many other species.

    Then you will arrive at a private reserve where you will have the choice of reaching the Canopy starting point by horseback or hiking. The Canopy starts with an explanation of the basic principals needed to make this experience an enjoyable and safe one. This is the adventure that lets you roam around the treetops leaping from platform to platform, in a special system of steel cables using professional climbing gear.

    Each one of the 15 platforms and the suspension bridge is a unique experience in itself. After such an adrenaline packed two hours, you will be able to enjoy a home-style lunch at the private reserve. This excursion requires no previous experience.

    Day 1: This trip will take you to Costa Rica’s most beautiful river to experience world class rafting, class 3 and class 4 in scenery that is unsurpassable. The first day offers many thrills as you begin to navigate down the Pacuare River until you reach the Pacuare Lodge.     Day 2: After a hearty breakfast, you will be ready for even more rapids, and more challenging parts of the river, at the same time some of the most unspoiled scenery in the country.     Day 1: An early morning departure will have you travelling through one of Costa Ricas most scenic parks, Braulio Carrillo, then continue the journey and head towards the lowlands of the province of Limon, passing through banana plantations.     Day 2: Today your naturalist tour guide will to take you to explore the intricate system of natural canals and waterways in this lush rain forest region, as well as walk through the trails of the park and visit the little village of Tortuguero. All meals are included.

    Day 3: This morning, wake up early to enjoy the lovely surroundings of Costa Ricas own "Amazon" - like area, then head back to San Jose, first by boat, and then the journey back on to land. Breakfast and lunch are included.
