TILLICUM VILLAGE EXPERIENCE WITH CRUISE & LUNCH

A relaxing boat ride transports you from Seattle’s Pier 55 to Blake Island where you feast on an appetizer of steamed clams, followed by salmon cooked on cedar stakes over an open fire.     Cruise the scenic San Juan Islands on a Victoria Clipper catamaran. As you depart from Seattle’s Pier 69, you’ll begin your 3.5 hour voyage to San Juan Islands charming Friday Harbor via scenic Deception Pass. Sail past rocky cliffs, delight in the beautiful beaches, and watch for wildlife along the way.

    Once your catamaran docks in Friday Harbor, the option is yours to disembark and enjoy this quiet seaside town on your own, or stay on board and for an additional 2.5 hour Whale and Sea Life search (included). The San Juan Islands are known around the world for hosting migratory pods of Orca whales in the summer months. Set sail in search of these gentle giants as you make your way through the island speckled waters. Keep on the lookout for Orca’s as well as porpoises, seals, sea otters, and bald eagles. Return to Friday Harbor with approximately 2 hours for leisurely sightseeing before catching the return catamaran back to Seattle.

    MUSEUM OF FLIGHT

    MT. RAINIER TOUR

    Of all the mountains that surround Seattle, Mount Rainier stands boldest. On clear days, you can see the mountain from downtown, but to grasp its full beauty, you must see it up close.

    Breathtaking vistas await on this rocky peak more than 14,000 feet tall. Even when clouds in Seattle obscure the view from the city center, once you climb in altitude, Mount Rainier’s scenery is awe-inspiring. Dont forget your camera. This 10-hour day trip is a feast for the eyes.

    We begin with a scenic bus ride, stopping at a visitors’ center before we continue into Mount Rainier National Park. In the park, we’ll linger at several scenic lookout points and gaze at the natural wonders - crashing waterfalls, diverse plant life, and the snowcapped summit. Youll have time to purchase lunch along the way. In the late afternoon, well follow a different route back to Seattle, taking in even more great scenery.

    Tickets must be purchased at least 2 days in advance of the tour date in order to guarantee availability. Tours booked within 2 days are subject to inventory restrictions.

    Located 30 miles north of Seattle, the newly constructed Future of Flight Aviation Center is a cutting-edge facility featuring 28,000 square feet of interactive aviation exhibits. Watch a brief movie about Boeing in the high-definition Boeing Theater, then hop a bus and travel a few short minutes to the Boeing factory where you’ll go behind the massive hanger doors to witness the inner workings of the worlds largest airplanes. View the flight line and airplanes in various stages of assembly within the largest building in the world by volume - a whopping 472 million cubic feet of space!

    Return to the Future of Flight center and spend some time browsing the exhibits and gift shop. See the manufacturing process in brilliant 3D, crawl inside the cockpit of a retired 727, or upgrade for an exhilarating ride on an XJ5 Flight Simulator! You’ll have the opportunity to "design your own aircraft" using aviation software, and will receive a complimentary color print keepsake of your airplane.

    Boeing Tours cannot operate during holidays (including May 29, July 4 and September 4, 2006). For security reasons, purses, hand carried items, cellular phones, cameras and video cameras are not allowed inside the Boeing Plant. You may leave these items on-board our locked motor coach at Boeing while touring the Boeing Plant. Guests must meet Boeing’s 50" height requirement. Babies cannot be carried on the tour, nor are strollers allowed. There are no child care facilities available. Reservations are recommended.
